Well this is naturally a early spring picture. As you can see i´m wearing hoses under the kilt due to the cold.

Do you like my house??

I know it is a bit old but I like i mainly because of its charm. And not to mention the location. :D

Ow wow what a lovely castle, and do they allow you to take tours of it even with the crown jewels there? I like your kilt! do they have kilt makers in Denmark? Sorry if that is s stupid question but I would have thought Scotland is the only place a kilt maker could stay in business!!

The Danish Crown Jewels are on display, just like the English Crown Jewels in the Tower of London.

There is no stupid questions, just stupid answers..

I hope to answer in a un-stupid manner :D

There is no real kiltmaker in Denmark as far as I know.
The kilt is not an sole Scottish garment... and here is a couple of links.

This is an article about the Austrian kilt called "the Mirnock" after the mountain area in Austria.

"Why wear a kilt?
For some, it is a matter of heritage. Kilts, as we know them, were adapted from 16th century Highland garments that are believed to have been heavily influenced by the clothing worn by the Vikings and Normans that conquered the British Isles in the 8th Century. The word kilt is thought to come from the Danish word "kilte," meaning "to tuck up" which is believed to have been derived from "kjalta," meaning "to tuck up a garment or to secure hanging fabric with a belt" in Old Scandinavian and/or the Old Norse word "kjilt," meaning "pleated or folded fabric layers."

As you can see, and I am sorry to be the one to spring it to you, The kilt is Not a garment just for the Scots ore Irish...

I made a few my self and bought a couple of kilts in Scotland (I believe I own about seven or eight kilts, plain coloured as well as some in tartan)

There is a also a "world-renowned" (if there is such a thing) kilt maker here in New Mexico, but I've only ever seen one person wearing a kilt here. Her name escapes me, but she was trained in Scotland in the art of making kilts.
I know it's not real, but it's fun!

Really? That is interesting By the way, I answered your add request.
I wonder how much she would charge for a kilt with our colors.
