New track established at Keil Hill

Postby LochaberEstates » Thu Sep 17, 2009 1:17 pm

Stanley Cameron of "S & A Cameron", Spean Bridge, has spent just over a month completing our superb new access track in his 7.5 ton digger (as pictured).

The track, which is approximately 1 mile long, will be of huge benefit to all our Lairds, Lords and Ladies who visit Keil Hill (particularly for those requiring better access and something a little steadier underfoot!). It will also be a fantastic asset for equestrians and cyclists.

Best wishes to you all from Lochaber Highland Estates

hi, looking on the overview plan of the 1/2 acre plots- is that a continuation of the main track along the treeline towards the pond? if so is it all flat now right back to the main gate next to river, where the old collapsed bridge is etc?
any plans to do the same on track 1? please?

Hello, yes the track goes all the way from the gate off the road for the 1/2 acre plots

that particular gate already has a combination lock, for the half acre plot owners to have vehicular access. other visitors i guess can climb over from the other end where the cemetery is.

Margaret, if you want you can always just hop over the gate at the cemetary and walk up that track

Sounds easy doesnt it ! Only problem is we camp on our land for at least a week when we visit so we both have large rucksacks with clothing pots pans etc plus the tent and heaviest of all are the containers of water .At least the new track will make access to the river easier and ease the water problem in summer so we are looking forward to seeing all your work .Is there now room to park without obstructing the track ? We did find it difficult on deciding where to leave the car .
