Great photographs, Lord Rick. I visited Lairds Wood at Easter and took lots of photographs which are on my Facebook.
It's a beautiful area, isn't it?

They are really beautiful; thank you for sharing them. Did you find your own plot (s)? How wonderful to think we all own a little land there, and by doing so can help to keep the forest land unspoiled.

Thanks so much for putting the photos up, I'm sure it is lovely for people who havent visited yet to get a glimpse!

With the lovely summer weather on its way (I hope!) maybe more people will be persuaded by a week in Lochaber. Its a lovely area and lots to do and see

I live in St.Helens in Merseyside, so its only a 4 hour trip
Myself and my wife try to visit Scotland as many times as we can, and this gives us a real reason to go now!
I couldn't believe how fantastic the place is, but wear a good pair of boots when you're walking up to the wood because it was quite a soggy trek.
I didnt find my exact location as the gps i was using didnt register quite that well.
I would recommend everyone who has a plot to go and visit, as the photos really dont do it justice! ( while we were there we could hear a cuckoo calling from the woodland below us!)
This place is safe from developers now we all have a piece!
Thank you! :P

Lord Rick, next time you go there is another track opposite the car park at the cemetary. If you hop over the gate you can walk up the track. It goes up, past the quarry and then opens into Keil Hill which is behind Lairds Wood. You can either cut down to lairds Wood or stay up there and walk around. Its a better track, but the long way round (not that long though)

Wonderful pictures, thank you for sharing.
You can identify a true gentleman by how he behaves with the waiter and the taxi driver, not how he behaves when at tea with the Queen.
