Monarch of the Glen

Postby Lord Michael » Tue Dec 23, 2008 2:40 am

This is a message to the Laird's Lords and Ladies who have ITV 3 in the UK that on the 7th January we will see the return of the series Monarch of the Glen,
All about a restaraunt owner named Archie who discovers he is now the new Laird of his family estate, Glenbogle, only to discover that the previous Laird of Glenbogle, his father left the Glenbogle estate with debts. Will Archie do a good job as the new Laird of Glenbogle while also dealing with his own life?

I havn't watched it myself yet but when I looked on youtube it looks like a really good program :D

I read that Monarch of the Glen was filmed in that
same general Northern-Highlands region of Scotland that our land is in.
For those of us in North America, the BBC series is out on DVD. (You can buy them online from the BBC
shop...go Google that.)
I"ve watched many of the episodes and enjoyed them. The series has a lovely
small town atmosphere, gorgeous scenery, and
always a bit of intrigue with each episode.
Makes me want to travel to Scotland as of yesterday!!! Lady Mathew

My wife and I recently got hooked on the BBC series Monarch of the Glen. I highly recommend it to all, fun, mystery, drama, and a little romance.

If anyone ever says to me why did I purchase my plot of land from Lochaber Highland Estates, I direct them to You Tube to see a snap shot of "Monarch of the Glen", then I say I purchased it to do my small part to protect this most peacefull part of Scotland, and the title, well, thats fun as well. So, I've already set the timer on the Television for the 17th January.

Glenbogle you say, another instance of scots humour.I have watched five minutes of it...
has to be a comedy parody.Scots have the ability to laugh at themselves.Bogle in Scots
is something you houke(poke)out of your nose. Also known as boggy.
