McDonalds and Dunlops

Postby Lord Christopher D » Wed Oct 07, 2009 3:18 pm

Although I am a Yorkshireman by birth, on tracing my family tree, I have now discovered that my paternal Great Grandmother was a McDonald and my maternal Great Grandfather was a Dunlop. So I really feel that I have true Scottish roots.

My Husbands paternal grandfather was a Dunlop and born in Maybole, Ayrshire, Scotland. His name was James Dunlop born approx 1876. I wonder if we are related in some way.?
