Lochaber Highland Estates - Photographs of Lochaber

There was great excitement at the Lochaber Highland Estates office yesterday as we took delivery of a number of boxes of books. This is a book of specially commissioned photographs of Lochaber, which will grace the coffee tables of Lairds who cannot spend time touring Lochaber for themselves, Lairds who want a souvenir of their Lochaber trip and Lairds who want to show their friends what a beautiful land is now theirs.

The book will shortly find its way into the shop for you to buy - it would make a wonderful Christmas present. For those who are impatient, please contact us with a credit card and we will ship you a copy for only £9.99 - post free worldwide.

Hello All Lairds, Lords and Ladies,
I just received my copy of the book yesterday, and it is worth having. The photos, some of which are breath-takingly beautiful, really give one a sense of the Lochaber area. They are cleverly arranged with Fort William as the central hub, with excursions from it in different directions. Utterly beautiful in whichever way one turns!
One of my favorite pics is on page 76, which gives a bird's eye view of Glencoe Village, Loch Leven, Loch Linnhe and Ardgour.
By the way, I was surprised to see the book is only 4 1/2" by 6 1/2" since I was expecting a "coffee table" size to be considerably larger. (Maybe the tables are smaller in Scotland?) However, judging on how often I have picked up the book to exclaim over, and how very portable it is, I'm delighted that it is not a monster. This way I can carry it around with me and badger people with, "how would you like to see some photos of gorgeous Scotland, depicting the area my estate is in?"

The title is LOCHABER, A pictorial guide to YOUR land. It is written by the Lochaber Highland Estates. Go to their website to see its cover and how to buy one.
