I see that you agree on the matter of tartan and flag. Always a pleasure.

I am working on some clan badges, interesting type of heraldy. The line from Chief to clansmen is easy to determine, and the coat of arms inside the badge is like all other heraldy.

Postby Gerulf » Tue Feb 03, 2009 9:13 pm

As you can see I made up a Clan badge fitting a Laird. 8)

With all the kids I´ve got, I might as well start my own Clan... :D

Hey Gerwulf!

Postby foist on my own petard » Thu Feb 05, 2009 6:11 am

My Lochaber Highland Estates screen name, as you can see, is "foist on my own petard." Now wouldn't that make a pretty coat of arms?

Is it not..."Hoist in my own petard"???

I don´t make much sense of "Foist on my own petard" - Smuggled in, in my own net...but Caught in your own net... makes sense to me.

But please explain if there is something I do not quite understand...:-)

There is family CRESTS and personal Coats of Arms...yes in some country... And in other the rules are different..
In Denmark there is Våbenskjold and Segl.

In Denmark the custom of Coats of Arms are somewhat different from England.

i have been trying to get my own coat of arms and am not able to make one if you wouldnt mind taking the time i would be very glad for your assistance.

the problem im having is the fact there is no almighty's i am the first so theres no coat of arms to be found i have to start from scratch.

what im hoping for is a coat of arms that is linked to god lol
angels with trumpets on the flanks, cherubs on the top with a sunrise
alpha omega as the writing
for the quarters im at a loss though not sure whats best for the shield really, a right hand with 7 stars on its palm is as far as i got,
it has to reflex as much as possible my alter ego like my name sake i am the 1st lordalmighty so my coat of arms has to be as divine and godly as humanly possible which is hard to do with online coat of arms maker sites.

you think you could help me please? if its a problem for religious beliefs i understand or if you just plain dont wont to its no problem lol

thanks either way ;)
